TUH's 3rd Annual Research & EBP Conference 
Call for Abstracts
Submission Deadline Extended to March 20
All abstract applications must be submitted electronically by Monday, March 2, 2020 midnight EST. Abstracts can be of a completed research study, evidence-based practice project, or quality improvement project.

Selection Process 
All poster abstracts are subjected to peer-review. Reviewers will read each submission to find the best of the best. The proposals that present the most coherent, concise and innovative projects will be selected.
Approximately 30 abstracts will be selected to create posters for display throughout the conference. The 5 best abstracts will have the opportunity to conduct a 10-minute podium presentation.

Notification 
The selection process will be completed and all main presenters notified of the outcome no later than Monday, March 9, 2020.

Application Requirements
  • Completed Application and Responsibilities Form (Each section of the abstract submission form must have a completed entry. Any incomplete abstracts will be disqualified). 
  • All components of the application must be typed; handwritten materials are not acceptable.
  • All application materials must be submitted electronically via email. 
  • Biographical Data and Conflict of Interest Disclosure (BIO/COI) forms completed for the main presenter, speakers, and co-authors.

Participation Requirements
Podium Presentation Details
  • Total presentation time is 15 minutes (10 minute presentation plus 5 minutes for questions).
  • Presenter(s) should describe the impact of their work, guiding practices, innovative approaches, and lessons learned.
  • Email a PowerPoint file of the presentation by April 3, 2020 (Please do not send a pdf).
  • A PC with projection will be provided. Do not plan to use a personal laptop. 
  • Podium presenters must register for and attend the conference. Presenters are responsible for registration fees and all other expenses incurred.

Note: If presenter(s) accept their invitation to present their
abstract but are unable to attend the conference, the expectation is that they will provide a substitute. If no substitute is provided, and the acceptance is withdrawn, the presenter(s) will not be considered for abstract selection for two years.
Poster Presentation Details 
  • Accepted posters will need to be professionally printed and sized 48 x 30. 
  • All posters will be displayed on a free-standing board and mounting supplies will be provided.  
  • Poster presenters must register for and attend the conference. All presenters associated with the poster who attend the conference are responsible for registration fees and all other expenses incurred.
  • Presenter(s) should check in at the registration table and set up the poster at 7:00am.
  • Poster should be taken down at the end of the conference at 5:00pm 
  • Although attendees will have the opportunity to view posters throughout the conference, poster presenters must be available at their poster during the following times:
                 7:30 – 8:00 am during registration & breakfast
                 1:00 – 1:30 pm during lunch

Note: Presenters agree to abide by Temple Hospital’s policy prohibiting any sales activity, direct and/or indirect solicitation, and any marketing messages from being conducted.
